# Regions

> Where SynapsAI Cloud deployments run, and how a dedicated install can be placed elsewhere

## SynapsAI Cloud

SynapsAI Cloud deployments run in the **United States**. There is no region selector on a model, agent, or knowledge base.

More regions for SynapsAI Cloud may be added later. Until then, every deployment on the hosted platform uses the United States.

Public traffic passes a global edge in transit. Processing of those workloads stays in the United States. Providers are listed on [Subprocessors](/legal/subprocessors).

## Bring your own cloud and on-premises

A dedicated install can run outside the United States. With bring-your-own-cloud or an on-premises deployment, SynapsAI can be placed for a client on the cloud or hardware that client chooses, including regions the hosted platform does not offer yet.

That placement is part of the dedicated deployment. It is separate from SynapsAI Cloud, which stays in the United States.
